River Mill is an old Grade II listed watermill set alongside the river Great Ouse and a small marina. Downstairs is the main bar area and to the rear the back room which is a dining area opening out on to the lower mill pond viewing deck. Within the main bar area is the T at the River Mill teashop serving fresh Lavazza coffee and a selection of fine loose leaf Brew Tea Co. teas. Upstairs there is another full bar together with a lounge area and the rest is partly given over to our restaurant. Outside we have lots of picnic tables alongside the upper mill pond and marina.
You can eat whatever you wish from our full dining menu wherever you wish to eat it. In the downstairs backroom and in the restaurant upstairs there is full table service for the other tables we ask that you order at the bar and then your food will be brought out to you.
Teas and coffees are available throughout the day, we also serve a range of fresh cakes and scones.
River Mill is dog friendly and dogs are welcome in any of the downstairs areas. We do ask though that they are kept on the lead at all times.
T at the River Mill
We are delighted to offer a range of cakes served with Lavazza coffee and the full range of loose leaf Brew Tea Co teas.
River Mill stands for quality, innovation and value.
- We source as much produce as we can locally.
- We prepare as much as we can in our own kitchens by our team of chefs.
- We are free house and carefully cask condition local ales and select fine beers and wines from around the world.
Sustainability of Food
River Mill is all about sustainability. We serve high quality food, beautifully prepared and fairly priced. We source as much as we can locally and only use sustainable ingredients. We buy fresh and prepare it for you with our own chefs in our own kitchen. We look to minimise our waste and recycle as much as we can.
The Future of the River Mill
We want River Mill to be simply the best pub restaurant in the local area. Part of this is constantly introducing new ideas and events. In October last year we held our first ever Gin Festival and our first ever Beer Festival both of which were great successes. In November we started our regular Sunday evening quiz night. We lit up the pub at Christmas, and enjoyed a fantastic New Year’s Eve gala dinner. This year already we held a Rum and Whisky Festival and on 31st March our second Gin Festival. At the end of May we introduced our wood fired oven outside and are making fresh Italian pizza every Friday and Saturday.
We want to offer our customers variety but recognise that we have to ensure that what we produce is consistently excellent. We want to be the local everyone wants to live near!
